called and gone

My baby bro is now on a mission. My broseph is now married. My baby sister is turning 8 this week, and my grandma is about to call it quits in the game of life.

My life is changing.

I am sad about the way things change. Its always hard to let go of the past. Of the people you love.

Sometimes I miss the way things were, its hard to say goodbye, accept change, get closure.

But what else can you do, but evolve, accept, and move on?

I am trying, I may not be succedding, but trying is better than not right?

evolution sucks, boo on you darwin.

DISNEYLAND

Last weekend my brother Shane, my sister Molly, and My cute Hubby, and I kidnapped our youngest broseph Dillon. We walked into my parents house and said, "Dillon! You just won the Superbowl, what are you gonna do next?" and he looked at us like we were crazy. So we tried again..."you just won a million dollars, what are you going to do next?" and he still looked at us like we were nuts. We all just kept grinning at him and pointing at him, and slowly with a look of slight confusion he said "im going to disneyland." In the most unexciting way possible. Our response? We screamed and cheered and replied with..YEAH YOU ARE! Go pack, we leave in twenty! He took a solid twenty minutes to be convinced it was real. Then we were off! We drove through the night and it was cramped 5 full adults in my dad's tiny camry, but it was so fun! We ate junk food and took turns picking songs on our ipods to share with the group. My favorite was the group participation of Jukebox hero.

When we finally made it, we got our tickets and got into the park! It pretty much rained the first day. which sucked and we left the park early to get out of the sopping wet clothes and check into our cheap  hotel.

We spent a total of 15 hours between California and Disneyland on Sunday and although we had moments of flared tempers, usually due to lack of food, we had the best time ever. EVER!! I really liked the family bonding and the funnel cakes. We have awesome photos, and even better memories. Especially when it comes to the Funnel cakes, push-up contests, ugly face contests, boys ganging up on the girls and calling it a fair vote,(totally NOT fair) and waiting in the never ending line for Space Mountain.

Monday was a long drive home in the cramped car again. Believe me sitting in the middle between to almost grown men...not comfy.

Although we had no money to do this, and even though we never have enough time together, never enough time for homework, too much time wasted on unimportant things, I will never forget that weekend. NEVER. I can't remember the last time I spent that much time laughing and enjoying my siblings. It breaks my heart a little to be honest. Its the beginning of a lot of changes in our little family and I can feel the shift starting to happen. My brother Dillon is leaving on a mission to West Virginia for two years. My brother Shane is getting married in a week. My sister is starting her own life and soon Ty and I will graduate and move on. Every time I go home I take a moment to inventory how fast my baby sisters, who really are no longer babies, are growing up. I hate being away from them. It seems we never have the time to do the things we want to. So for the first time in a long time, I took a breath. I didn't do my homework, I didn't work, I didn't stress over the student loans that are drowning my hopes of ever traveling to Thailand. I just exhaled, and savored the sweet moments of life.

I am truly blessed.

frosted mini wheats

The other day, I was having a grand old time hanging out with one of my oldest best friends,
we were talking about everything,
including the EFY pictures she dug up,
looking our prime in high school. ugh.
she started talking about how mini wheat's before bed, makes a happy bathroom visit the next day.
I was intrigued. I sampled.
the next day, not only did I enjoy a leisurely visit to the bathroom,
but a gastronomical experience for the rest of the day.
mini wheat's works people.
too well.

boom! posted.

It seems that 2010 came and went so quickly. I can't really believe its 2011 and almost a whole month in. I have sucked at posting. and here is the catch up.
Christmas with the Evans. warm and lovely.

lost half my hair from the stress of the semester. left with no choice
but to cut....12 inches off.
cried. a. lot.

new years with the Sedgwicks....fun until the boys ruined the countdown by taking to long to pull out of x box land. needless to say
my voice got all shreiky and loud when I explained my disappointment.

Phoenix for 5 days of bliss. warm. happy. needed.
school starts again.

I have been thinking about the new year a lot lately. There is a lot expected of this coming year. I was so busy being an over-acheiver this past year that I forgot to do a few crucial things.
Like spending time with my buddy.
taking care of myself both mentally and physically.
sleeping.
going to church on a regular basis and getting there BEFORE sacrement.

and although it seems too easy to name the things I didn't do perfectly last year.
There are a few things that are worth mentioning.
My brother got his mission call.
My husband got AMAZING grades.
I got a scholarship.
Traveled to 3 places I had never been before.
Spent a whole month with my family.
Ty and I celebrated 4 years of growth and love.
I figured out how to tell time.
I made some really great friends here in logan.
we experienced the love and benefits of true friendship.
WE SURVIVED!

So for this year we are going to strive to better than we ever have.
I am going to be more balanced in my life.
Ty is going to try and xbox less.
(he just doesn't know it yet;)
We are going to not only survive it,
but enjoy it.

Look out 2011....
we're coming for ya!

ugh umph blah

...words to explain my mid semester burn-out. I am just plum tuckered out. I slept fifteen hours in 7 days last week. No biggie. I can't think of a single person who needs more than 2 hours of sleep a day. Freak I would be lucky to get that. More like a few hours the first few nights than 3 solid days of none. NONE. No exaggerations here...who needs to exaggerate when your life is as crazy as mine? According to a few senior friends of mine...I look healthy today. I don't think I have ever been told I looked healthy before.
Its odd.
I am wishing with all my little heart that school would just be over. I want to be a grown up. I am tired of being in school..I am freakin 24 years old people! I am no spring chicken! I have been in college almost as long as I was in elementary school. FOR REAL.
gross
Well I wish I had something awesomely witty to say. All I have to say is that sometimes all I want is my jammas and a cozy bed.
oh and a time machine
Is that too much too ask? Hope all is well in ya'lls neck of the woods!
Savor your sleep!
